Chipotle broke the mold in the development of food service and National Engineering has been a proud member of their team of professionals since 2000. Since that time we have grown along with Chipotle and we now work with them in 48 states, have had some involvement in most of their locations and from time to time provided guidance on projects outside the USA. We have assisted in the research and development of new stores, energy saving methods and design techniques to improve the maintainability of their many locations.

Founded in 2006 in Denver, Colorado, Snooze AM Eatery is focused on evolving the A.M. dining experience through culinary innovation, an eclectic and energetic atmosphere, and comfortable and friendly service.  

As part of the Snooze team of professionals since 2016, National Engineering has worked closely with the design team to combine the most cost-effective and functional solutions for their mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. 

Mendocino Farms started as—and still is—a family business. Co-Founders (and husband-and-wife team) Mario Del Pero and Ellen Chen created the concept in 2003, determined to lead through empowerment and build a thriving business from just a good idea and a lot of passion.

In 2018, National Engineering has teamed up with Mendocino Farms’ team of design professionals on several locations throughout California and Texas.

In 1999, a farm kid teamed up with an award-winning barbeque competition team. They bought an old doughnut shop in Ohio and opened a new BBQ joint. Today, that original City Barbeque is one of more than 35 across the country.

Velvet Taco is a one-of-a-kind taco concept serving premium food in a unique & funky fast-casual setting. Founded on the idea that tacos don’t have to be associated with Tex-Mex cuisine and can be made with the same care and quality ingredients as fine dining, Velvet Taco is where “anything goes meets the art of the possible.”

National Engineering is proud to have partnered with Velvet Taco’s team of design professionals since 2019 with stores opening in several states including Georgia, Texas, Illinois, North Carolina, Oklahoma, and Tennessee.

National Engineering has partnered with La Popular as the restaurant makes its debut in the United States from Mexico City, a top gastronomic epicenter. La Popular, an elevated and dynamic destination, showcases authentic Mexican cuisine that proudly represents the genuine culture, traditions, and history of Mexico. Alongside an innovative agave-centric cocktail program and warm hospitality, the restaurant takes a sophisticated approach to traditional dishes, utilizing exceptional ingredients, adventurous flavors, and innovative preparations. The collaboration with National Engineering ensures a seamless integration of MEP design for an enhanced dining experience.

The Roseville opening of La Popular marks Grupo Carolo's first destination in the United States. As one of the most recognized restaurant groups in Mexico City with over 27 restaurants, Grupo Carolo aims to bring exquisite gourmet Mexican cuisine to guests, characterized by warmth, excellence, and genuine hospitality.

We are proud to have partnered with the Wings Over design team for their 2.0 re-branding efforts that focus on a clean and fresh dining experience. Wings Over was founded in 1999 in Amherst, Massachusetts and has restaurants in thirteen states.

Naf Naf means to ‘fan the flame.’ The expression is used as an invitation for friends and family to gather and share a meal together. Back in 2009, Sahar Sander, their late founder, opened the first Naf Naf in Naperville, Illinois and invited the community in to try his authentic handmade recipes true to his Middle Eastern upbringing. They still serve those recipes today at every Naf Naf and invite you in to share a meal with them.

Headquartered in Philadelphia, La Colombe currently has cafés in Philadelphia, New York, Washington, Boston, Chicago, and Los Angeles.  By sourcing and roasting with care, and borrowing on ancient and modern coffee traditions from around the world, La Colombe provides an elevated coffee experience for Americans.

sweetgreen was founded in 2007 with the mission statement to serve simple food while being mindful of their impact on the environment and community, creating a cult-like following in urban environments such as Los Angeles, New York City, Boston, Washington D.C. and Chicago.

Redstone American Grill, with headquarters in Minnetonka, Minnesota seeks to provide a rugged yet romantic atmosphere for any occasion.  Each restaurant features a wood burning rotisserie and open flame grill where their signature chicken, seasonal fish and perfectly aged steaks are prepared.  

Blaze Pizza is a fast casual pizzeria that specializes in custom built, fast fire'd pizzas. Blaze uses quality ingredients to build artisanal pizzas that are ready in just a few minutes.

Cooper's Hawk, a small Orland Park, Illinois based chain of restaurants, combines four distinct components under one roof: an upscale casual dining restaurant, full service bar, private barrel-aging room, and Napa-style tasting room and retail gift store.  

National Engineering partnered with the design team for locations in Illinois and Wisconsin in 2010 and 2011.
